A few days of cycling beside the Mediterranean can sound like an easy holiday plan. The 11th International Antalya Demre Cycling Festival is more specific than that: it is a registered group-ride gathering with camping and scheduled visits around Demre. As checked on 25 September 2026, the organiser is still listing the event for 29 October to 1 November. That is not the same as confirmation that a place remains available, so treat the details below as a planning aid, not a booking confirmation.
What the published plan says
ANBİFED’s Demre information page names Beymelek Ahşap Park ve Sosyal Yaşam Alanı as the festival campsite. The event is due to begin with registration at 3 pm on Thursday 29 October and finish after lunch on Sunday 1 November. Myra, Simena Castle, Kekova, Kaleköy and the St Nicholas Monument Museum are among the destinations listed; a boat trip between Üçağız and Kekova also appears. The page does not set out a confirmed day-by-day itinerary, so do not assign those places to particular dates without a later programme.
First decide whether the riding suits you
The organiser describes daily rides of roughly 40–50 km and says the routes are generally suitable for road bikes. Its FAQ, however, recommends a mountain or touring bike with tyres suitable for dirt roads. Those descriptions leave a real question for anyone choosing a bicycle. Before registering, ask which surfaces are planned and whether your own setup is appropriate; the FAQ also lists a pump, puncture kit, spare tube, bottle and Allen keys among useful items. Registration and the listed cost
The official registration page still displays an application form, and the event page says pre-registration opened on 1 September. Neither page reviewed gives a live remaining-place count or confirms that late applications are still being accepted. Contact the organiser before paying or arranging transport. Its FAQ lists TRY 7,750 per person, including VAT, and names a festival jersey, campsite, meals, archaeological-site admission and refreshments among the inclusions. Recheck both the amount and what it covers before transferring money. The FAQ says the festival is for riders taking part in the cycling tours and that unregistered visitors cannot join them.
Camping and getting to the start area
The general page points to the Beymelek site; the FAQ describes tent camping and advises participants to bring a tent, sleeping mat and sleeping bag. Confirm the current accommodation arrangement directly, especially if you are not planning to camp. The organiser recommends travelling by bus to Finike Otogar, about 27 km from the campsite, and says transport between Finike and Demre is being planned for participants. That wording does not promise a seat or a particular transfer time. Ask about the arrangement before choosing a bus connection. Make the final checks close to departure
Keep your application confirmation, payment terms, campsite details and transfer plan together. If travelling with friends, check each place individually instead of assuming that one accepted application covers the group. The organiser’s homepage and event page were still advertising the festival on 25 September; I did not see a cancellation or postponement notice on the pages checked. That is a snapshot, not a guarantee against later changes.
