Getting a bicycle to Belek is only one part of the trip. The decision that tends to shape everything else is whether you are travelling to ride the Gran Fondo, join one of the side activities, or spend a day around the event as a visitor. Keep those plans separate: the organiser’s programme covers four days, while the UCI series calendar lists the Antalya qualifier across a different date window.

Start with the transfer, not the ride

The organiser’s transport page puts Antalya Airport roughly 25 km from The Land of Legends. It estimates a 25–30 minute taxi journey and says there is no direct public-transport line from the airport to Belek; a public-transport trip involves connections. The organiser also offers transfers for race participants, with booking linked to race registration. If you are travelling with a boxed bicycle, ask about vehicle and luggage capacity before you book. The published participant transfer should not be treated as a service available to every expo visitor.

Arriving at Antalya’s intercity bus terminal is a separate transfer problem. The organiser lists taxi, connecting tram-and-bus journeys and event transfers as options. Build in time for the bicycle box, assembly and the final trip to your accommodation. A map distance does not tell you whether a vehicle will accept a full-size bike case or whether your hotel has a secure place for the assembled bicycle; confirm both directly.

Understand what each date means

The event’s published programme starts on 5 November 2026 at The Land of Legends with expo activities and race-kit collection. It continues through 8 November with time-trial and Gran Fondo activity alongside other events. The UCI Gran Fondo World Series calendar lists Antalya as a 6–8 November qualifier. In practical terms, the organiser’s four-day festival window includes an opening day before the UCI calendar’s three-day event listing. Check the live programme again before buying travel that depends on a particular session.

Choose the kind of visit you are actually making

The schedule labels its daily slow-cycling competition free, and also marks the 7 November folding-bike race as free. A children’s balance-bike event is listed that day. Those are specific programme entries; they do not establish that every expo or stage activity is open without registration. If you are coming as a companion or spectator, ask the organiser which areas require a pass, whether the free activities need advance sign-up and what time visitors should arrive.

On 8 November the organiser lists a COP31 awareness ride at 10:30 and a COP Bike Ride panel at 11:00. The public listing confirms that these items are planned, but it does not fully explain ride eligibility or visitor access. Treat the programme as a useful planning snapshot, then verify conditions in the event’s current announcements. That small check is more useful than assuming that the word “festival” means unrestricted entry.

If you are racing, check the entry rules separately

The organiser’s entry-conditions page says riders need a valid 2026 cycling licence and a medical report stating that they are fit to take part, dated within the six months before the event. Those are competition requirements, not general travel advice for a visitor. The organiser has also advertised a bicycle-hire service that requires advance reservation. Confirm current availability, frame size, collection time and price before deciding to fly without your own bike. For a personal ride outside the event, use the route-planning guide and tyre-pressure reference; neither supplies a verified local route or road-condition update. Riders on tubeless tyres can review the setup and roadside-repair guide before departure.

Book the nights with the local calendar in mind

The event’s hotel page says demand around Belek is expected to rise in November because of COP31. It also notes that some listed hotel rates are divided into date bands, including 1–7 November and 8 November onward, so a stay crossing the boundary may require separate bookings on that page. This is a current organiser-site booking note, not a universal pricing rule for Antalya. Check the cancellation terms, bike storage and exact night-by-night price with the accommodation you choose.

Source check: 13 October 2026. The organiser’s programme, transport and entry pages, plus the UCI series calendar, were checked for this guide. Dates, access, transfer availability and accommodation terms can change; revisit the official pages before travelling. A search for a verifiable organiser Instagram post did not return one, so no social post is used as evidence.
